BMW M3 and M4: June 2014 Release. With the arrival this year of the new 4 series, the news many have been waiting for has finally arrived, the release date and details of the hotly anticipated BMW M3 Saloon and M4 Coupe. Slated for a June 2014 release the M3 Saloon and the M4 coupe will begin at £56,175 for the basic spec containing a straight six 3.0 litre twin turbo engine adding an extra 11bhp on the previous M3 range with 425bhp as standard. The increased horsepower allows for over half a second to be knocked of the M3's 0-60 dropping it from 4.6 seconds to 4.1 seconds. With the Saloon starting at £56,175 and the M$ coupe priced at £56,653 it won't be for everyone. However, for those previously put off by the fuel economy delivering around 23mpg the new M3 and M4 will be able to deliver in the region of 34mpg, and releasing nearly 100g/km CO2 which will help on the road tax cost. A standard 6 speed gear box will be customizable with options to have a 7 speed dual clutch transmission instead, with U.K cars also including adaptive  M suspension as standard. All the usual extras and equipment that you would expect from an M series car including 19inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, heated electric seats and folding mirrors come as standard. The options list is enough to make your mouth water with optional carbon ceramic brakes, a heads up display, fatigue detection and M Laptimer app for smartphones allowing you record things such as speed, revs and acceleration around tracks. Coming in nearly two tenths of a second quicker than the Mercedes C63 AMG edition 507 in it's 0-60,  and nearly £2,000 cheaper for the factory spec, most would struggle to find a reason not to be tempted by the BMW M4 Coupe. image-7 image-6 image-5 image-4 image-3 image-2 image
