Official Images of the BMW i8 spyder concept were released earlier this week.  The car will be showcased at the Beijing Motor Show  later in the month.
The Car will be fitted with a 1.5 litre petrol engine which will pump out 220bhp to the rear wheels and 129bhp will be pumped to the front tyres by an electric motor, this they say will see the car doing 0-62mph in about 5 seconds.
The i8 will be weighing in at about 1600kgs, aot of this weight will come from the heavy batteries needed to charge to electric motors.
The i8 is set form production in 2014 and should have a very good fuel economy of 94mpg. Costing in the region of £90k this is not a cheap motor but definitely one to look out for.
