MX5 The Mazda MX-5 has been around for some time now and has been a firm favourite with many looking for a sporty 2 seater with great performance.  The MX-5 has been at the top of the ranks for over 2 decades now and shows no signs of slowing down. With the latest designs looking not to different from the first release in 1989, the iconic convertible firmly sets it self up as a modern classic sports car. The Car handles like a dream with rear wheel driving power you really get the feel of a sports car but without the expense.  Coming in at just under £18,500 it has always been one of the cheapest best performing ports car on the market. The MX-5 comes with 16-inch wheels as standard; the more sporty models of the MX-5 come with 17-inch alloys.  Be sure to maintain good tyres on this vehicle as bad performing tyres won't help you when nipping round corners.  A nimble car with accurate steering ensures that the driving experience is excellent.  The MX-5 comes with either a 1.8 or 2.0 litre engine, both providing good acceleration times 0-62mph and 124bhp for the 1.8 and 158bhp for the 2.0. The 1.8 model will give you up to 40mpg while the 2.0 will deliver up to 36.2 mpg.  This is pretty good for the performance and fun you get while driving the MX-5. If safety is a number one concern then the MX-5 has undergone some major changes with the latest model.  All the models of the MX-5 now come with ESP as standard, ESP means; Electronic Stability Control. Practicality isn't the number one feature for the MX-5.  It was never built as a practical car. With a small boot space and very little room to store anything else, you really shouldn't look at the MX-5 as a practical car that will store and transport much at all.  Although the interior now boasts 4 cup holders and numerous compartments. Overall the MX-5 has become a iconic figure in the world of motoring, an excellent 2 seater sports car that for the money delivers more than you would expect.
