Tyre Care

What is the recommended pressure for my tyres?

Last updated: September 21, 2025

The recommended tyre pressure will vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle, so at tyres.online we always recommend checking with your vehicles manufacturer handbook. The fitting station or garage will fill ytyres from our partners with the manufacturers recommended pressure before letting you leave.

However, it is recommended that you check your tyre pressure after 50 miles and then once a month or before long journeys after that.

Maintaining correct tyre pressure is one of the most important aspects of tyre care. Under-inflated tyres increase rolling resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption and accelerated wear on the outer edges of the tread. Over-inflation can cause reduced grip and uneven wear in the centre of the tread.

Check your tyre pressures at least monthly when the tyres are cold, as pressure increases as tyres warm up during driving. The correct pressures for your vehicle can typically be found in the owner's manual, on a label inside the driver's door frame, or sometimes inside the fuel filler cap.

At tyres.online, we help you compare tyre options from leading retailers across the UK. Our platform allows you to easily compare prices, specifications, and fitment options to find the perfect tyres for your vehicle and budget.
