Founded in the same state of Ohio as Coopet tyres and only a year later in 1915, General Tires breakthrough came with the idea of a spare tyre, something no other manufacturer had developed up to that point. They now produce a wide range of tyres, many with safety consicous features.

General Tyres are the Big Boys within the Off road tyre market. Founded In America they have carved out quite a reputation for being a market leader of the big tread tyres. Each General tyre that comes with the company logo comes with a reputaion of strength, reliabilty and as you would expect ready to handle anything that comes in its way. Over the years General Tyres diversed to create Tyres for other sectors within the replacement tyre market, namely car and bike tyres. In 1987 Continental tyres bought General tyres and kept the brand strong within the companies american operation.
